I bought a Bag of Tricks in my last game and used it mainly as a distraction in desperate moments -- you know, "ARGH WHY ARE YOU MAKING US FIGHT A RAKSHASHA WE ARE ALL DOOMED QUICK FETCH THE WEASELS!" I only wish I'd gotten as lucky as a friend of mine once did. He reached into his Bag of Tricks and flung what turned out to be a badger at the dragon.

It rolled a series of natural 20s.

I believe the DM's exact words were, "The badger instantly ascends to godhood. You all gain a level. I hate you."

That reminds me of this game once where the God of Hiccups ended up (I believe by rolling a series of natural 1s) being de-godded and turning into an armadillo. We did eventually get him re-godded; by the time I moved away and left the game, the God of Hiccups was at the top of the pantheon, thanks to us and our prosletizing(sp?)...
