Oh my! Well, I do expect the Norwegian Roof Rats again as soon as it gets cold - it's an old building and they just wander in. But we don't need to shoot them; the trap works just fine. Got five or six of the little buggers last year, IIRC. They only ever seem to turn up in one drawer, though, so I don't use that drawer anymore. It's the dedicated rat/mouse drawer. If they'd just stay there, I wouldn't have to kill them, darn it, but they kept leaving poopies in my pots and pans. :(

That must have been the same night I dreamed that Flash AKA El Monstro caught a rather large mouse, nearly rat-sized, and was just sitting there with a panicked look on his face, like, "What do I do now?" and I was saying, "Just don't let it go!"

I know where that one came from though; a couple of nights prior we had our yearly bat visitor who had to be captured before the cats could get him or her, and put back outdoors where he/she belonged to catch mosquitos.
