The reboot of Prince of Persia was a poor game that didn't quite deserve the power of its endgame and conclusion. But what made it work, for me, was how much character work there was. I stopped at every opportunity to talk with the characters, and that gave me the drive to see the game through and made me impressed by the conclusion ( Read more... )

I still don't have a computer that I can reliably use, but I've been picking at my own review for the game. It'll be kinder than yours, for the record ^^,

Still, I am truly happy that you played this. I couldn't play fifteen minutes without thinking about you.

Looking back at that, it does sound more negative than it really should have. I didn't not like the game. In fact, I loved much of it. Its flaws were almost too large to look past sometimes, and I did find myself yelling at it from time to time, especially towards the end. And in that final boss. I yelled "END" many a time during that confrontation.

But I'm glad I played it, and I loved the first third. LOVED.

The final boss in many ways was my favorite part. Not because it was particularly great, and it did go on a bit too long, but I couldn't help but think "Man, this is like Devastator, only awesome and without wrecking ball testicles."
