For some reason, my dorm room has an extra ordinarily rank smell to it. Something the house elves have even apparently missed...

Now I gotta find out where that smell is coming from... not fun...

Dead rats, mayhaps? Those little bastards are hard to catch, but stink up the place when they think it's funny to die in a rather well-hidden place.

I seriously hope it isn't. Neither I, nor my dorm-mates own a pet owl (or cat) that would bring any of us a 'present' in the form of a small, nearly-dead or dead animal.

Oh! Or, it could be that one of your dorm mates brough up food and now it's stinking up the place 'cause that food is now rotting? That's another possibility. 'cause, you know, people forget, especially if they are pack-rats and hide stuff like that.
