A person who cut me off for no reason contacted me. For whatever reason, said individual trolled my Twitter, and threatened a lawyer if I didn't remove her name from a post. We talked yesterday, and I've decided to comply. However, a lawyer honestly can't do crap. And I'll explain why ( Read more... )

that's taken in context. don't forget, people love taking things out of context and blowing them out of proportion.

Heh, true enough. But even without context, the part with the name (saying F* you.) can't be held as defamation or libel. It's strictly and purely an opinionated statement. Thus... the whole point in general is moot.

I'm half tempted to post something with the name in it again, just for kicks.

In a way? Yes. Because now that I complied, I will no longer hear from this person again. I'm sure everyone would agree that this would be the ideal situation; however, for me, there are still certain issues that given the opportunity, I would like to resolve. And considering this person posted "I'd love to meet you somewhere face to face. And give you exactly what you deserve." ... lets just say, that sounds as appealing to me as a wedding cake does to a fat kid.
