It's been a week, but I've finally had time to write up my Montreal Comic-con travel report.

Thanks for another great travel report. Also looking forward to reading about your trip to Argentina. I wonder how hard it would be to track down any of those print interviews. I did get myself a copy of the Montreal Mirror with the Groo cover and the article about Sergio.

Depressingly, my local comic shop doesn't carry UY and won't order it for me. :/ Is there a reliable way to subscribe over the web? I seem to remember having a lot of issues with TFAW last time I tried to order from them, but that was like, '97.

OLD FW INK DISCUSSION anonymous September 27 2011, 05:24:58 UTC
Several months back here you were nice enough to discuss the ink you have been using in your fountain pen since the old FW ink went away. I thought I'd mention to you and your buddy Sergio that the illustrator Elwood Smith and a friend of his have been working (and testing) with Daler-Rowney on re-introducing the OLD FORMULA FW ink. They have been discussing it on the Fountain Pen Network in the thread "Possible To Analyze Old FW Ink And Deduce Recipe?" Hopefully it is something to look forward to in the future.

That is good news! I did buy a new bottle of Badger Black Opaque (which used the old FW formula) and you were right. They changed the formula for that. It's terrible now, one of the worse inks I have ever used. Fortunately, I still have a few bottle of the old Badger, but I will be running out of it in a few months. Please keep me informed of the Daler-Rowney attempts to re-create FW.
