This will be my first random commentary of DH. A more coherent review will follow tommorrow.

The DE's all hanging out together was SUCH a fandom thing.

HAGRID JUMPING OFF THE EFFING MOTORCYCLE TO SAVE HARRY GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. My heart stopped. The whole scene in fact where they are surrounded by DE's was just ....wow.
Ron leaving Harry was sooo shocking and though I knew he'd eventually come back I didn't think they'd be able to redeem him, but it worked so well!
Hermione getting tortured. I forget how much I love that girl, she is quality Gryffindor.
DOBBY!!!!!!!! WHY DOBBY WHYYYYY. That scene is so like a scene out of Buffy, where you think everything is okay and then the character's facelooking down to see the sword buried in their chest.
Harry=Horcrux knew that since HBP came out.

I hated that they had some comparison between Bellatrix at her killing and Sirius. That was just wrong. But yay Bellatrix you bitch go to hell.

I found this ironic for the simple fact that in one of the books, maybe Goblet of Fire, when they applaud for Cedric or something, Crabbe gets up but is pulled down by Draco (something akin to this, or perhaps occurred in the movies). Therefore, I find it ironic that he's the one who was the evilest as opposed to the one who is good.
Parvati dueling Travers and pwning Dolohov with a body bind?

- P.S. I'll forgive J.K. for not marrying you to Harry just cause this book was awesome, but you still get some hottie. Though not sure if I want you with balding canon Draco and a son named Scorpius.
- Also, you pwning Dolohov will totally inspire loads of Parvati/Dean shippers to write fics, bleah.

LUCIUS AND NARCISSA were most worried about their son! That totally bowled me over, because although I guess Cissa would be so. It was cool to see Lucius all like MA BABEH. This went against EVERYTHING I ever wrote in the HP universe about Draco's relationship with his father. I was under the impression that if Draco failed/changed sides, Lucius would kick his ass to dedtown, but instead it's obvious that he would never do that.
Draco not giving up Harry/Ron/Hermione immediately at the manor? Odd. PICK A SIDE DAMNIT.
- Hahaha, pleading to the DE "I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy-" I think the ice blonde hair gave it away there bb. Also way to be a wimp. Draco's sadness over Crabbe's death even though Crabbe was all "Bitch I ain't listening to you no mo".
I think Hermione saving Lavender from Greyback was good, especially due to the whole Ron/Lav/Herm thing.
RON AND HERM'S MAKE OUT WAS THE BEST XD
Snape, half way through the book and I really, honestly thought you weren't going to get redeemed, and then you were more redeemed than it was a possible. You had a sad life. You did your best. You should've PROB tried contacting Harry earlier. In my reread of the chapter where you leave the school, I imagined Alan Rickman doing your lines to Minerva and I was soooo heartbroken as I knew you were actually good and worried about how you could tell Harry the info.
DUMBLEDORE GAHHH I also worried that the book wouldn't redeem you, but rather debunk you completely as a man who raised Harry only for his death. When going through Snape's memories, it seemed impossible that the Dumbledore who cried for Harry, who wouldn't harm harry when he was possessed with Voldemort...would do that. I'm so glad it wasn't true.
I think in some ways J.K's keelings were an easy way out. She killed many important characters, but none of the trio + Neville + Luna + Ginny were offed which i find unbelievable, and also a little of a cop out (but something I also do in my fics).
I didn't mind Ginny in this book. Mainly because she wasn't really in it.
The epilogue made me want to barf. It was like a piece of CRAPPY fanfiction especially with all the names she chose. ALBUS SEVERUS?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Rose? Regardless, despite my strong hatred for Harry/Ginny, and also balding!Draco, I was okay with this end because Harry was happy, had two cute sons and a daughter, and Teddy was making out with what seems to be Fleur/Bill's daughter and yay.
In the end, though I thought I could never like this series if J.K. ended it with the pairing that it did, and closed it in such a final way, I was okay with it because it just came down to my boy, Harry. And if he's good, I'm good.
The whole 'all is well' was dumb. Lame.

Harry's initial obsession with the Deathly Hallows: Reflective of Albus' obsession with getting it (thus making his plan to make Harry figure it out so he wouldn't get so tempted or whatev wayyy clever)
