The view is through the eyes of the dreamer, sitting in the shade of a large tree with long willow branches hanging down. Not far off is a large farm house with a picnic going on in the front. Everything at a distance seemed hazy, no clear definition, but one could still make out long tables and benches, people eating and laughing and having fun.
"Is it true you don't eat meat?"
Things nearby were a lot clearer, like the little girl kneeling in the grass in front of the dreamer, who was painting a pink hearts on her face. The painter's hands were decorated with henna, and while one held a paintbrush, the other steadied a
lamb that was still wobbly on it's hooves as it nosed though the grass by her leg.
"Yeah!" Another girl chimed in near by, who was stringing flowers together, flowers and leaves painted along the side of her face. "My dad says that's weird cuz you grew up on a farm."
A soft chuckle. "I suppose that's true. I just don't like needless killing. I don't see the point in taking something's life if I can survive without having to." It was Jinana's voice speaking, and if to make a point she rubs her fingers under the lamb's chin.
"It's done! It's done!" The girl with the flowers stood to show off the crown she made, then reaches over to drop it on 'Jinana's' head, then reaches into a little toy purse to pull out a little toy mirror with a pink plastic handle to show her. "You look so pretty, Mariah!"
The mirror reflected Jinana, and in the blink of an eye it changed. Her hair was a bright, copper red with eyes almost as green as they were now. But the biggest difference was that she was smiling.
----------
Jinana awoke slowly, brows furrowed. She was certainly not smiling now. For a moment she actually seemed vulnerable, but then she blinked her eyes tight for a moment, and was practically stone-faced again as she reached out to turn of the Dreamberry.
