I'm so happy! I haven't seen snow in YEARS so waking up crappy (literally and metaphorically) and seeing this... HAD to take a picture... next to the grill with snow. :D
Nothing medical-related is ever easy, but in time "things" generally get better. Even having to wear Depends at this point would (I'd think) beat having to deal with an ostomy (and all the "fun" that entails)...
Former boss had to have his gut "disconnected" due to cancer, and we used to trade stories of our personal "issues" (I won't go into mine, but it's not pleasant), dutifully grossing each other out. I couldn't imagine having to deal with his situation (similar to yours), while my tales of what I have to do every 2-4 hours, 24/7/365, totally freaked him out (and he was a hard-nosed Navy corpsman -- a military medic -- during the Vietnam war).
Hang in there! One day you'll look back on all this and say, "Whew! What a ride! Booga-booga!" };-)
Trust me, I understand. Here in N.C. we've gotten two good drops and one dusting this winter, when we usually get (at best) one snow of mixed results. n_n
