{When the feed clicks on, a few final-sounding notes of piano music rise up into the air, and we have a lovely view of... the carpet?!}

It is a beautiful piano, but...

-You cannot afford it, right?- {Nanao laughs mournfully, and the picture moves from staring at the carpet to one that shows Goldenrod's small but well-stocked music ( Read more... )

I was just passing by, Miss Nanao. What's with the piano?

That? Oh, I bought it.

I'm taking it home.

[On the one hand, there's the piano which she just bought and he had no idea she could play. On the other there's a "Shiryuu" to handle and that seems the more pressing issue. They can handle that piano when she gets home.]

If you're certain about giving her up, Ise. I won't go easy once I can start training her.

I am. I've talked to her about it as well (via Kiyone), and she's happy to be trained by you.

Oh, she's a Dratini. I probably should have mentioned that beforehand.

Alright. If you're both sure, then I won't say no.

Should I clear a space for that piano in the meantime?

[On a usual day in Goldenrod, when the Pokémon are resting, the Other Father can be seen in the music store, usually playing on the piano. The store managers don't seem to mind, considering he always plays uplifting songs that tend to make people happy and bring them in.

He had been taking a break, but upon hearing Nanao's playing, he had to compliment.]

That's one fii~ne melody you've got there.

{She'd seen him when she came in, but wrote him off as harmless pretty much straight away, and so she smiles at the compliment.}

Thank you, sir. It's been a long while since I played.

In that case, you're a natural. [He can't say this from experience of course, considering he was made to be a musical genius... but he knows talent when he sees it.

He walks closer to the piano and presses two or three keys nonchalantly, making a pleasant sound.]

{Raising an eyebrow - is that a challenge, good sir?}

And so are you, apparently.

[Marona is in fact on the road when she decides to check her 'Gear, more out of boredom than anything else. There isn't a whole lot to do when one has a team of overpowered Pokémon following them, staving off any antagonistic wild Pokémon by sheer intimidation or a single sharp attack if necessary. When she comes to Nanao's post, her lips tighten to what is just barely a smile. She waits until the song has finished before saying her piece.]

That was... pretty.

[Hey, Envy recognizes that music store! He listens appreciatively to Nanao playing, waiting until she's finished to make a comment.]

You never told me that you could play too.

Fair enough, I don't usually tell anyone either. You're pretty good, though, how long have you been playing?
