Matsumoto Rangiku | Bleach | superboobies | ❤ & ❤ & ❤ & ❤ & ♛

Opinion: This is one of the most difficult relationships for me to define, because canonically they’re implied to be quite close (given that I’m working off filler since haha what is screentime for Nanao) and Rangiku is alllll overrrrr Nanao in the beach episode (that was an amazing thing), and so just playing out their sort of two man comedy routine never gets old for me, actually.

Opinion: Seeing that Hitsugaya was back in Johto was at once terrible, but oh, she can't tell a lie - it was relieving. He'd helped her so much when she had just arrived, it was nice for her to be able to return the favour. Seeing him get flustered over little things, even though it's usually only a momentary slip helps her to remember that he is just like her, even though he's a genius, that here he's just another little human, fragile and delicate and breakable.

And she wants to protect that. He's just a kid, this a chance for him to have another childhood, one free from Hollows and hunger and Shinigami and voices in his mind, and so if she's a little more protective, a little more motherly, then who can blame her?

Opinion: Nanao is confused about Heather, mostly about why on earth the teen doesn’t seem to like her that much. (But knowing the canon explains a lot of that.) She honestly just wants to be Heather’s friend, and maybe mother her a bit, because she seems like a girl who could use a female figure in her life (who won’t try to kill her) and AAAAAAH I need to finish the nightmare thread, because that is three kinds of amazing and awesome and cool, and it will do interesting thing to their CR.
