Name: Rydia
Series: Final Fantasy IV
Timeline: Just after the Leviathan attack.

Personality: Rydia is a very headstrong, outspoken, stubborn girl. She doesn’t change her mind much, and once she has her mind set on things, it stays firm. She also isn’t afraid to speak her mind; like when Edward was lingering over Anna’s death, she told him to man up and quit crying, because she herself did.
Rydia herself is very mature and emotionally strong. She quickly was able to forgive Cecil for protecting her, even though Cecil was the reason ( though unknowingly ) that her town got burned to the ground, and her mother died. She is brave and unafraid, and she isn’t afraid to tackle a battle head on without hesitation
Despite this brave front she puts on, however, she is still 7, and is very afraid of the things that go around her. Mainly she's afraid of being alone; she doesn't want to lose her new friends, as they're all she has since her mother died. In ways, she depends on having them there, as it keeps her mind off the bad things in her life. She has a tendency to bottle these things up, so if she thinks about them, she'll break down.
You also have to keep in mind that she IS 7. She enjoys doing things 7 year olds enjoy doing. She is an upbeat, cheerful girl who likes to have fun and enjoy life. She's playful and likes to make new friends, even though her sharp tongue can get her in trouble at times. Overall she's a very sweet, innocent girl that just happened to have a series of unfortunate events happen to her, which only made her stronger in the end. She's independent and self reliant, and also cares a lot for people and the world in general.

Strengths
Summons - Rydia is only 7 years old, but is the best summoner in her village. She truly excels at being a summoner.
Emotional Strength - She doesn’t let her emotions get the best of her, which is very admirable for such a young girl, and is very brave and quick to face danger head on.
Maturity - For a seven year old she's very mature and able to understand things that most children wouldn't
Forgiving - Rydia is very quick to forgive. She manages to forgive and forget Cecil's wrongdoings quickly when she realized that he was a good person.
Energetic - Rydia is very spunky and full of childlike vigor. She could talk forever.
Stubborn - She will not let you push her around, and you won't sway her opinion either. She is very grounded and adamant about what she believes in and what she's going to do.
Noble - Even after she got older in the Feymarch and gained the ability to protect herself, she chose to assist Cecil and the others defend the world, as she could not stand by and let the world be destroyed.
Weaknesses
Losing People - Rydia doesn’t like to be alone. She doesn’t like people to leave her or for her friends to die.
Fire - Though she starts to get over it, early on Rydia doesn’t like fire and refuses to use fire spells, because fire is what burned down her town and killed her mother.
Temper/Sharp Tongue - Rydia gets mad easily, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, no matter how harsh or rude what’s on her mind is. This is exemplified early in the game where she exclaims to Cecil and Kain "I HATE YOU!", and proceeds to summon which nearly kills all three of them.
Physically Weak - Rydia IS 7, and she is a magic user, so her body isn't very conditioned. It wouldn't be hard for her to get worn out or to get bruised.
Forgiving - Rydia is a very caring, kind person and is quick to forgive people. This can be a good thing, but also a bad thing too
Naive - Rydia has lived in a village isolated from the rest of the world her whole life. As such, she isn't very familiar with it and is very innocent to the world and in her view on it, and doesn't often condone to politeness and manners.
Bottles Things Up - She tries not to think about her problems and the bad things that happen to her, but when she does, she breaks down.

First Person Sample:
[the feed opens up to a very agitated looking Rydia. She’s rubbing her temples and doesn’t look pleased. At all.]
Did I hit my head or something? Last thing I remember is falling out of a boat, so.. I’m sure it’s pretty likely.
[suddenly, an energetic heracross comes out of nowhere and tackles her onto the ground.]
GAH- YOU STUPID BUG!
[Rydia begins to hit at the heracross’s back, but he just smiles up at her all derp like, hugging her tightly. Clearly he’s fond of his new master, who is only barely taller than him.]
Ugh, what have I gotten myself into? Everyone here seems to be absolutely crazy! … Hoo boy, this should be fun.
[She kicks the heracross off of her and stands up, looking towards the gear.]
So uh, if anyone’s there, answer me, okay? You can’t just leave a girl like me here by herself!
Third Person Sample:
“You aren’t my mom! How DARE you!”
Rydia, clearly, was not very pleased. She stormed out of the strange house as the creepy lady smiled, as if nothing was wrong. This was the second time Rydia had gone back to the woman’s house and confronted her, demanding to know where she was and who she was, but every time, she just go the same reply, the woman telling her she was ‘so proud’ and ‘good luck on her journey’. Of course, all this did was fill Rydia’s rage. She decided it best to leave before she did something she might regret..
Trailing behind her was a blue bug thing. Rydia could sense it behind her as she stomped around the village, and occasionally glanced back at it, hoping that it wasn’t actually following her. After about 10 minutes of aimlessly walking about, she had established that yes, it was indeed following her. Jumping around, she extended her hand in the bug’s face..
“STOP FOLLOWING ME! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!” She screeched. The bug just tilted his head, looking at her like he wasn’t sure what was going on, then pounced on her and began squeezing her small body with all his might.
“C-can’t.. brea.. sto.. it..” The girl tried to hit the thing, but only mustered enough strength to barely tap it’s hard exoskeleton. “Hera!” The thing said happily, nuzzling his head into the girl’s chest. Eventually, he let go, and for a moment, Rydia lied there, catching her breath. “Huff.. huff.. ugh. I hate this place already.”
Slowly rising from the ground, she glared over at the bug. It was beginning to click that the thing wasn’t leaving her alone, and apparently, she was it’s owner. Of course, she’d have to name it! “Stupid. Your name’s Stupid. Deal with it.” Rydia said mockingly. Stupid, on the other hand, seemed to fancy the name quite a bit, cooing ‘hera hera’ every time she said it. Rydia smiled coyly. This bug would be an easy one to ‘play’ with.
“Alright, Stupid. Guess we have to find out where in the world I am. So you… just don’t touch me, and we should be fine, okay? Okay.”
