I don't know. Usual holiday nonsense.

[He's not going to tell her his birthday is White Day.] What kind of holidays did you have in your world?

Beats me. They never really came up. We celebrated Banjo's birthday, my birthday, and Tootie's birthday. Everything else was just a day.

The ladies give the guys chocolate. It's like, s'posed to be when girls can express their feelings?

And on White Day the people they gave a present to has to return the favor.

That sounds pretty stupid... though I can always get behind something that gives you free anything.

Yeah, it probably ain't somethin' you gotta worry about much if you don't wanna.

[but hey, why not make your guy friends owe you one?]

[Which is why she's actually musing over this. Because hey, if she sends chocolate to every guy she knows, they have to give her some back.

You may have just given her a pretty bad idea, Beat.]

Valentine's Day is pretty universal but White Day is more specific to Japan and other Asian countries.

Guys give chocolate to girls on Valentine's Day. Girls give chocolate to guys on White Day. Just another way for stores to make money.

[Which just means she gets to exploit it for free sweets. Ignoring the fact that she has to buy some for everyone else in the first place, anyway.]

Huh. Wonder why no one's thought of that where I come from.

Commercial holiday back where I come from. Stores make a bundle off candy and greetings cards aimed at young people in love. You're basically supposed to give your boyfriend or girlfriend a bunch of shit.

... Unless you're a little kid, in which case you're expected to give everybody in your class candy and little cards with Spider-Man on them and stuff.

Spider-Man? Please.

So what do you want, anyway?

Whoa, you KNOW who Spider-Man is? [She sounds a little surprised, but... HEY whatever, maybe birds paid more attention to that stuff than she thought!]

And-- ... huh? What do I want? ... For what, Valentine's Day?

No, it just sounds stupid.

Yeah. You're not a pain in the ass to talk to, so what?
