[ Sebastian looks beyond the slavering beasts to the boy, and takes a moment to study him. He's unfamiliar, but he seems to be quite familiar with Sebastian. This can't possibly be the strangest thing to happen to him since his arrival here, though. ]
I'm sorry; you seem to know me quite well, but I'm afraid I don't recognize you. [ He decides to ignore the part about 'why are you still in that tree, retard?' because, well. He's stuck here. ]
[He would flip Sebastian the bird but he'll be genial. After all the demon has just denied knowing of him. He can deal with that. Somewhat. It gives him a chance to be stealthy.]
That's too bad. I can do so much now that you don't know who I am!
[Like dancing with Ciel! And baking cookies with Ciel! And throwing Sebastian and Claude into pots of boiling oil while he and Ciel enjoy some ice cream! Good times.]
Hm. Are you waiting for an order? It seems like you're waiting for an order. Then again, you have to wait on orders for the rest of your immortal life, so I don't see how you could mind this. [Yeaaaaaaaaah he's gonna have fun with this.]
[Action]usedcalmmindNovember 30 2010, 03:12:05 UTC
[ Sebastian rearranges himself in the tree, getting comfortable. He's pretty sure he's not going anywhere fast, so he may as well look nonchalant about it.
Alois' comment about 'orders' makes Sebastian break into another smile, this one far less than pleasant. He chuckles. When Ciel finds out, there'll be hell to pay, but even then, Ciel's lost the ability to shake Sebastian down for anything, so he's not all that worried. Certainly this little maniac posts no threat. ]
Orders? Why, I haven't had an order in weeks. I suppose I could use one.
[ There's another bit there that nags at him, something about 'immortal life,' but he chooses to ignore that, too. At worst, this body is in its twenties or thirties; he seems to be aging normally, so he has... a little bit of time.
[Look at that, getting comfy and cozy in a tree! Alois can only laugh at this spectacle. It's almost too comical to believe.
He's no expert at detecting Sebastian's facial expressions. At most the other man just seems to teether between mild annoyance and ...something else. Oh well, nothing to fear. After all if he called, his own demon would come and whisk him away. Yet his words make him stop and think.]
No orders? How can you have no orders when you're bound by a contract, Sebastian? But if you want a few orders, I don't mind giving them. [laughlaughlaugh]
Just kidding! I wouldn't want to form a contract with a demon like you.
[Action]usedcalmmindNovember 30 2010, 03:31:23 UTC
[ Comical, indeed. Sebastian is draped on an upper limb, facedown, his ankles crossed and his arms folded beneath his head. He peers at Alois over a branch.
Every sentence out of this boy's mouth is fostering Sebastian's suspicion that he might belong in a sanitarium. His laugh is particularly edgy, though it doesn't bother Sebastian. He's heard much worse. ]
A demon like me? [ He feigns offense, touching his own chest in shock. ] Why, I'm hardly the worst of them. Is there some other kind of demon you'd sooner form a contract with?
[ Despite all the bizarre things going on right now, Alois' unbidden familiarity is beginning to gnaw at Sebastian's nerves. Who is this boy to know anything about Sebastian or his contract, or even demons in the first place? ]
[Action] I am having too much fun with him >///>fauxearlNovember 30 2010, 03:41:56 UTC
[Sebastian appears so pathetic in this manner-- so carefree, such an easy target, so stupid-- but he's seen how Claude can move and how fast Sebastian can move. It would only take him seconds to descend upon Alois if he wished.
His small display of dramatic talent tickles him devilishly~. He dissolves into a series of chuckles before regaining his voice again.]
I beg to differ. But, I suppose there is a level of loyalty with you that is absent with others? [He tries to keep a straight face but it falls apart.]
Ahahahaha! Unlikely! Unlikely! Entirely unlikely! As bloody likely as the dead coming back to life!
[Action] He is *buckets* of fun.usedcalmmindNovember 30 2010, 05:00:21 UTC
[ Sebastian raises a cool eyebrow at Alois' allegations - he's sincerely offended, but he won't let this degenerate into an argument. The boy isn't likely to change his opinion, he thinks.
Instead, Sebastian diverts the topic slightly. It may prove to be a sufficient segue into finding out who the Hell this boy is and what he wants. ]
For all you know, boy, that's entirely possible. [ He props his elbow on the branch and his head on his hand, looking unmoved. ] After all, there are such things as demons, are there not? Where does the magic stop, I wonder?
[ ooc; If Alois wants to pop somewhere else when he tires of Sebastian, Ciel's in Union Cave. ;D ]

It isn't. Otherwise I'd have my brother with me now. And perhaps my family, if I were feeling nostalgic enough.
[He can feel another giggle fit coming, but he manages to keep it at bay in favor of something more satisfying~. Sebastian's mellow expression was almost satisfying to look upon. He could imagine he was angry. Very angry.]
Of course there are such things as demons. The magic stops the very moment the master realizes it was all a lie.

You must have been lied to quite a lot in your short little life, boy.
[ Sebastian's not feeling especially polite, with the dogs below and Ciel missing and he can't feel him, goddamnit, he doesn't know where he is. Why that matters, he isn't sure - for all he knows, the contract may never be reestablished. They could be here for another seventy or eighty years, until Sebastian dies of old age and he'll never get -
[Action] What is Love? Oh baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me no more~~fauxearlNovember 30 2010, 16:24:43 UTC
All children are lied to, didn't you know? You lie to Ciel all the time, unless he orders you not to. Claude lied to me when he saw fit.
[Mentioning Claude brings a temporary melancholy emotion upon him. Like most of his fleeting feelings, this one doesn't last long. However, Claude's already entered his mind, tainting his words just enough.]
[Alois never feels polite. But he enjoys taunting. How much more can he bait Sebastian? How long would it take to get him to that boiling point?]
Not as miserable a creature as you become, surely. Imagine that, a creature as otherworldly as you forced to live as a dog for the rest of your life to a boy who doesn't even love you!
[It was rich! It was simply too rich! He's all but broken down into delirious laughter, holding his sides tightly as he attempts to take in much needed air between chuckles.]
[Action]usedcalmmindNovember 30 2010, 17:59:21 UTC
[ Sebastian shows no further recognition of the name 'Claude.' There's an argument on the tip of his tongue - he's never lied to Ciel, not even since arriving here and discovering that he can - but the boy won't listen to him, he's sure. He's too distrustful, too broken; he can't believe that there are people who don't lie. How pitiful. This 'Claude' must have done quite the number on him.
His next words make Sebastian pause. That isn't the first time the boy's mentioned something like that - waiting on orders for the rest of his immortal life, living as a dog... he acts as though he knows something Sebastian doesn't. But the contract is broken, and Sebastian's no longer waiting on orders from anyone. ]
I apologize, but I'm afraid I've overlooked the hilarity of the situation. In fact, I'm fairly certain you're spewing nonsense. [ He takes a moment to study his fingernails (odd, now that they're not black) in a parody of insouciance. ]
[Alois steps closer and presses himself against the tree. He looks up, leaning his head as far back as he can.]
Sebastian, it's far from nonsense. I can understand if you'd rather blind yourself to your own horrible reality. It must be better than facing the truth?
[Though he tries to maintain a facade of delusional fantasy, he is becoming irate with this game. He wanted some emotion, some form of acknowledgement for what he's done.]
[ Sebastian glances down. The dogs seem to be ignoring Alois altogether. Irritating. Wiping the annoyance off his face, he looks back up to meet Alois' eyes. ]
There's no sense in denying reality, boy. It would seem that your reality and mine are not the same.
[ As soon as he says it, he realizes it's probably true - either the boy is completely delusional, or he really is from a different reality. It's entirely possible, after all. ]
[ Another look of annoyance crosses his face. Who's in denial, here? He's tempted to go down there, but the dogs pose a considerable problem. He's not even certain he can throw knives with the accuracy and power he's accustomed to, or he'd just take care of them - and the boy. ]
Look at me, boy. Do I look as though I have someone to answer to? I'm a free man.
[ To demonstrate, he turns his hand over and pushes his glove up - the back of his hand is bare, with no contract seal. He doesn't remove his glove altogether for fear that Alois will take note of his fingernails. ]
Hold up, what the hell is going on.
What.
The.
Hell.
Just. Just staring and trying to figure out what the bloody hell is going on because. This. Makes. No. Sense.]
...Sebastian. Shouldn't this be incredibly easy for a dirty lowdown no good dirty cunning hell-bound moronic bastard dirty demon to handle?
