[Not addressing the fact that the butler is nearly all the way across Johto just yet. Every time she is within reach of him, he simply slips away. Utterly frustrating.]

I much prefer cats, in fact. But I suppose it is attractive, for a canine. [ He glances down at the Pokémon as he speaks. ]

Johto isn't short on attractive canines. [Of course, she's referring to her own starter.] I'd actually like to have the one you have there. What is it called?

'Mightyena.' It evolves from 'Poochyena.'

[ He turns the camera on the dog, then, and it lifts its head cautiously, looking Sebastian's way. ]

Perhaps I can breed it. I'll need to acquire a Ditto for that.

It's called a 'Mightyena.' It evolves from the much smaller 'Poochyena.' I received an egg in April, over the Easter holiday.

[ He would totally just give you this thing, but he can't actually look like he hates it. ]

[Ciel is on the bed, staring at the Murkrow resting on the headboard. His face has little expression if you didn't know him, but he's actually troubled. Chrome's disappearance was a bit of a shock, and made even more real when he discovered her Murkrow in his party.]

[ Sebastian glances Ciel's way after shutting off the feed. It's readily apparent, at least to Sebastian, that there's something on the boy's mind, and it isn't hard to guess at what. Quietly, he removes his boots from the dog's back, catching its attention, and gestures it over to Ciel.

Eager to please as ever, the mutt ambles over and leaps onto the bed, settling down beside Ciel and resting his head on the boy's leg. ]

[Absently he reaches down to pet the dog. He doesn't even realize at first that this isn't his Growlithe come to comfort him. Though after a few moments the difference in fur becomes apparent and he gives the mutt a somewhat abrupt look.]

I have no mutt icons! I need new Pokéicons.

[ The dog flinches slightly under Ciel's gaze, but wags his tail hopefully. Ciel's never been as harsh toward him as his own trainer. ]

[ Oh sup, polite butler cat guy. Sanae is similarly disoriented by the memory loss, and similarly good at hiding it; he gives a lazy smile for the camera, Smeargle perched on his shoulder and eying the 'gear suspiciously. ]

Guess I was onna the few who didn't move far, huh? A shame, looks like I just missed you -- here I'm only a couple days from Goldenrod.

[ Sebastian dips his head, both in recognition and apology. ]

It would seem so. Quite a few people traveled weeks away over the course of the weekend, myself included. ... A few disappeared entirely, or so I'm hearing.

This happened once before, though we didn't travel quite as far then.

I was here for it. Must've been back in... November, December? I actually got off easier this time around.

Anyway, what's Blackthorn like? I'm enough of a big-city guy that I didn't plan on moving past Goldenrod, but maybe that'd be a waste.

[ Really, it's unlikely that anyone can drag him away from the Game Corner long enough to travel. ]

Blackthorn is smaller than Violet City, but still substantially larger than Cherrygrove. It's a bit chilly, given the elevation, and nestled rather neatly into the mountain. Most of the residents train Dragon-types.

You'll find much less entertainment here than in Goldenrod, but the Ice Path to the north provides excellent training opportunities.
