Dream 001 [VIDEO/ACTION IN NEW BARK TOWN]

Oct 10, 2010 13:51

[The video feed starts off with a really shaky start. The only sound you hear at first is that horrible muffling sound as fingers keep trailing over the mic. It’s clear that the owner has almost no idea what he’s doing. It finally focuses onto a young man with silver hair. He seems pretty calm for someone who just woke up in Johto, but ( Read more... )

[Naoto just stares for a minute and then she lights up like a Christmas tree.]

Senpai!

It's not a dream; you're in a place called Johto. We have as yet not discovered the means of our arrival here.

Naoto, it's good to see you again.

[Souji smiles. Even if it only been about a day, it's great to see a familiar face.]

Huh, guess that other person was telling the truth then, though it's pretty hard to believe. Is there anything else known about this place?

[video] kun, I think! Most of the team does, except Teddie. fortunatewings October 10 2010, 18:48:44 UTC
It's good to see you too, Souji-senpai.

[Naoto goes into detective mode]

If you played that Pokémon game when you were younger you should be familiar with some of the creatures here. This is not the same land as the game but the... mechanics work almost identically.

I am two towns away at present. The next town is about three days away, and the one after is about a week's travel. You should have enough food to reach Cherrygrove if you ration your supplies.

You also will find a partner in one of the balls in your pack. It will aid you against the wide ones that will attack on the road.

[video] kun it is then! Thank you <3 usedeverything October 10 2010, 19:03:28 UTC
[Souji just nods and listens like a good student. Alright, he thinks he got most of that.]

I never played the game before, but I heard of it. Yosuke probably knows of it.

Alright, I'll start to move to the next town as soon as I look around here. There's not much to see here though.

There isn't; I searched it thoroughly when I arrived. I suspect that the only one capable of providing more information is the "mom" and no one has been able to access her after the original meeting.

Hm, my "mom" kicked me out of the house as soon as I woke up, and she won't let me back in. I guess we need to ask other people around here.

[Oh hey, there's a scientist right over there!]

There's a guy with a lab coat around here. Maybe I can ask him for some info.

If that is the scientist I am thinking of, he will be more helpful with questions about Pokémon than questions about how to go home.

It never hurts to ask though.

[Now excuse him for a minute as he goes to ask. Hey there, can you tell me how to-- Yeah, that's nice, but-- Alright, Pokemon are cool, I know bu-- Can I say somethin-- No, I don't want to see your-- wait, where are you goin-- ....okay, have a defeated Souji looking back at the camera now.]

...Well, at least I now know what Pokemon are now...

[Naoto... doesn't have much sympathy. Well, she does but she also has enough distance that it's funnier than frustrating.]

...Don't worry, Souji-senpai. I had the same luck with him.

Are all of the inhabitants here like this? I talked to another person earlier and all she could talk about was Pokemon.

Yes, this whole world is mad for Pokémon. Unfortunately for us.

Guess it's like a huge thing over here. I remember the games being pretty big when we were kids. It's probably permanent here.

That does seem like the case. After all, Pokémon are quite real and have all the abilities ascribed to them in the game.

Have you played the games before, Naoto-kun?

I played one when I was younger, but I'm afraid my memory of the details is often hazy.

I figured. It's been a while since the games came out, didn't they?
