S-Senpai?!

[ she... does not even know where to begin. Retrieving that giant flailing fish is probably a good start, though. ]

[Yeah, that's a good idea. Just wait as he tries that right now. It's harder than it seems, but he gets it after many "MAGIKAAAAAAAAARP" and silent "fffffffffffffffffffffffffff" and all that. He's...just holding it though...]

Hey, Rise.... [Talk about embarrassment.]

[ after walking in on that "practice group date", this isn't too bad. At the very least, Rise isn't backpedaling and fleeing down the hallway this time. IN FACT, she's even heading closer. ]

... Wow, this brings back memories. Are you okay?

[Rise, you're just asking for that Magikarp to come over to you and then slap you.]

Yeah... That thing knows how to slap its tail around when it's not in battle.

[Souji doesn't get back to Ven until after a good few minutes. Most likely from trying to get that fish under control, and by under control, he means to the side where it can happily splash around all it wants-- away from the gear. He wipes the lens of dirt for a second.]

Yeah, thanks for asking, Ven. Sorry you had to see that.

It is a bit. I'm actually clueless on how to train it.

The best way to train these creature, I've heard, is to send them out for the first part of the battle then switch it for a stronger Pokémon.

[A few minutes later and after making that Magikarp stay to the side and flail all it wants against the Pokemon Center's walls, Souji replies.]

In the middle of battle? Huh, does that work? [Cause how can they both get experience? Doesn't the thing that ends the battle gets it?]

All those who participate in battle gain experience from that battle. The experience 'points' are split evenly between all those who competed, no matter how large their contribution.

That's pretty useful. I'll have to try that out later. Do you own one of these as well?

[So there's this girl who's just... staring at the Magikarp. For some reason, she's frozen and looks utterly flabbergasted.]

[It's...a very Benny Hill scene, I'm just saying...It's pretty bad...Well, Souji does manage to get a hold of it, saving his Pokegear as well. It's still flailing around in his hands, but at least he got it and-- OH FFFFFFFFFFF SOMEONE WAS STARING SEIRYUU YOU ARE EMBARRASSING ME]

...Sorry you had to see that.

[Osaka takes no notice of Souji's apology. She keeps staring. And then:]

... that's such a cool Pokemon.

[Oh great, now he'll have to apologize again and then find some way to make it up to her and then make sure this Magikarp shows some res-- wait what]

....

[Man, he doesn't even know how to reply. That was a completely different answer than he thought he'll get.]

Having some trouble?

[Don't mind him, he's just amused. And walking along the route that leads to Cherrygrove.]

[Souji gets back to Joshua after a few minutes, shoving that Magikarp off his Pokegear and making it flail against the wall of the Pokemon Center all it wants.]

Yeah, just a bit... I didn't think they'll be this much of a hassle.
