[Ritz is in Violet City! ...and it appears she has her Gear set up to record her sitting by the water's side, hair still tucked up and covered up, as she lets Andre swim around. He's splashing her occasionally! So this is the first big city I've encountered here in Johto, and I want to know something ( Read more... )

The first gym leader isn't too bad. He uses flying types, the highest is level 35. Hit him with a strong electric or rock type and you can beat him pretty quick. But even without a type advantage, he isn't too difficult if your pokemon are at high enough levels.

[He looks a little uneasy at the mention of the crows, though.]

And...I have no idea about the crows. They are kind of starting to creep me out too.

...This'll probably take a few weeks of training, then.[Ritz looks out at her derpfish and her slightly less derpy knifebird and sighs a little.] Thanks.

Well, maybe enough people will get annoyed with them and try to figure out where they're coming from.

You're welcome. And good luck! Hopefully you can evolve your Magikarp by then. That should help.

Hopefully. That or they will just...go back to wherever they came from.

The first gym leader uses Flying-type, so if you have any Electric types, it should be a breeze. Just don't try using Ground-types, because those don't work at all.

...I don't know what the Murkrows are doing, though.

I think an Electric pokemon would be a good way to make my team larger. As it is, if anything takes out Brenda I'm pretty much up a creek with no paddle anyway.

[That gets Brenda to let out a very offended 'SKAAA!!!' As if something could take her out! Honestly. Silly human.]

They're good against Flying and Water, so they're definitely useful to have around.

What's your team like so far?

Other than Brenda and Andre- [Ritz is pointing out her Skarmory and Magikarp as she says their names-] I also have a Zubat.

Hello! Falkner was a tough battle for me. Watch out for his Pidgeot! It can heal itself.

Be careful of Sprout Tower too, it's haunted.

That's really good to know. [That thin, vicious little smile should be worrying, on the face of someone her age.] Ghosts don't really bug me. [Because if it's anything like the dream Ivalice, the ghosts here really aren't anything to be worried over.]

Oh, well you're all set then.

[Yeeeah that face does wigg him out a little. And he usually ENCOURAGES mischief.]

[Ritz is a pointy thing sometimes.] I used to fight zombies. Those are a lot creepier.

... Sorry Ritz, I have no idea on either of those, I don't exactly have much interest in doing the gym stuff...

It's alright! It's not like fighting is everyone's idea of fun.

[Brenda has decided to let out a 'SKAAAARRR' at the Murkrow.]

Now if only Eevee would think that!

But these crow pokémon are kinda strange, aren't they?

They're not just strange. I mean, they're coming out of nowhere and just watching.
