If you have a type advantage then most of the leaders are pretty easy to beat, even if your team isn't really as strong.

Yeah, you'd have a pretty good type advantage there. [ Dunno if you can hear the smile, but it's there. ] Any Pokemon that know flying type moves would be good too, like Charizard.

Gym Leaders are easy, as long as your Pokémon's at a decent level and you know your types. They focus on a single type, so the right moves and the right Pokémon make them a cinch to beat.
