[Fortunately for everyone who might be watching this feed, Yagyuu took a minute or two to attempt to familiarize himself with his PokéGear prior to switching it on, so when it does finally turn on to reveal his face, it's from an appropriate distance and at a deliberate, steady angle. Given the wall that's currently forming his backdrop, it's ( Read more... )

[hm. why did it have to be more Rikkai...]

Well, to start, you might want to go ahead and get used to the music.

[And now Hyotei, as well? So many familiar faces.]

Ah, yes, I'm told there's no getting rid of it, Oshitari-kun.

Oh, did someone fill you in already?

Shiraishi-kun considerately gave me a few of the basic details. A strange world in which time runs differently, and each new arrival is tasked with embarking on a journey to become a master of...Pokémon.

[Yes, he's thrilled about that last part.]

That's the gist of it, yes. I hope you like Pokemon~

Not as much as some of my teammates, regrettably, but it seems I have no choice but to get used to it.

I take it you've been enjoying yourself, Oshitari-kun?

Unfortunately not. No one's figured out how to leave yet, sadly.

It is quite interesting here, though~ And enough people from our world are here that tennis is still a ready option.

Perhaps it comes with winning the game, whatever those conditions for victory might be.

I'm pleased to hear you've been making the best of it. I'm sorry I don't have my racket with me, or I would offer you a game.

Well, someone managed to get all the badges and they're still no closer than the rest of us, so it's doubtful that's the case.

Oh, it's fine~ I do believe the earliest place to purchase tennis equipment is Goldenrod, by the way.

Unfortunately, I'm not overly familiar with the gameplay, so I won't be much help in attempting to figure out that particular conundrum.

As I understand it, that's quite some distance away, isn't it?

You could try asking your teammates, I'm sure at least one of them is.

About two weeks at the shortest, if you take the shortcut.

Kirihara-kun and Niou-kun would be the experts in question, I'd think.

Ah, is it? That's regrettable. It'll be quite some time before I'm able to make it there, then. Even with a shortcut.

Given that Kirihara-kun still wasn't clear on type advantages last I spoke to him, I don't think "expert" is the word I'd use...

Hm, well, Yukimura, Niou, and Seigaku's Fuji left on an expedition a while ago to acquire HMs for easier travel. If they succeeded, then you might be able to reach it a bit faster.

I suppose that would be fitting irony, that of all the games he plays, the one that would actually be useful at the moment isn't one he ever mastered.

[Sigh.]

...Faster travel? I heard mention of riding, but there's a better way still?

It does seem a bit too strategy-inclined for his tastes.

It is still riding. Just on Pokemon than can fly.

He prefers fighting games, as I recall.

[Okay, well, that got him to blink a little.]

Riding Pokémon through the air. Flying on their backs?

[THIS DOES NOT SOUND SAFE AT ALL.]
