[ Rise doesn't appear to be all that sympathetic to the losing party, and although she usually shows up to call out support in person for Gym battles, she definitely prefers to stay away from this particular girl. ]

[Honestly, even with their somewhat tenuous friendship, he wouldn't have expected Rise to be there for his gym battle--not the way he might've his team members. But he's still watching thoughtfully, because despite not being a teammate, Kujikawa Rise is one of the few people in Johto uniquely positioned to notice just how ruthless he was being.]
