[Ken is going to be chilling around Goldenrod for all of this morning. He's finally made it back after going all the way back to Cherrygrove, the horrible foreverplace of the Persona 3 cast. But he got out of there alive, and is now back in Goldenrod and that is what's important. And he has many friends to visit, and places to go see, and things

[ Miles had spent the day inside today, clearing out their luggage. He'd always been organized, sure, but after a whole year, the little things built up. There were some old clothes he didn't need, bits of paper and receipts from stores that nested at the bottom of his bag. Letting Remus try to cheer up Romulus with music Miles allowed him to download, he'd spent the last few hours cleaning.

And then, there came the knock.

He hadn't expected any visitors, though. It wasn't Fuu (he hasn't seen her in the last few days), it wasn't Clover (he's sure she's still at work), and it wasn't anybody else (nobody else, really, except Kisa, was in Goldenrod), and it wasn't room service since he hadn't asked for any. So it was clear who it was, especially when an excited Pip bounded towards the door and proceeded to slam into it (for what reason, he wasn't sure).

Miles drops the shirt he'd been folding as he gets to his feet, crossing the room and calling Pip out of the way before he opens the door. ]

[asdjkandfa P-Pip don't do that. You startled the crap out of Ken. He's got a look of "wtf" still plastered on his face when Miles opens the door. There's a second before he can fix that.]

... Do you have room for a roommate?

[ Pip is shuffling in circles around Miles' feet happily. He'll dash for Ken, put his paws up on his knees, jump down and run back into the room to call for Romulus.

Miles still registered surprise to see Ken (half a month--it had been half a month!), and it keeps him rather quiet. But he nods, finally, stepping to the side and opening the door wider. ] Always.

I'm sorry it took so long. Cherrygrove is further away than I remembered.

[He's hesitant to enter... but only until Rom flies out of that room and into his arms.

[Koromaru decides to join him on the bench, just sitting there. His Eevee sitting there with them.]

[He chooses what he's going to say very carefully, thinking for a few moments.] I can help you find a hotel room, today. Sanada-san and Minato-san are here, too. I'll probably be staying with Miles, again.

[...but he wants to stay with you Ken. He looks sad when he tells him this.]

... Miles and I have a lot of things to do, Koromaru. We'll still be in Goldenrod, but we disappear a lot. We won't be far.

[It's not so much Kuja at first, as a Dratini that's suddenly peering over from the back of the bench - one that, after a pause and a curious headtilt, croons happily and flops with her head on your shoulder.]

[Not far off, there's the singing hum of a Vibrava's wings and a man's voice.]

Ariel? Ariel, this isn't a good time for hide and seek.

[--! Dratini...? Ken blinks and pets her head with a slight smile. He's used to people calling for Pokemon, to be totally honest, and there's a lot of Pokemon in Goldenrod, but--]

Is that your trainer calling? I know Dratini are pretty rare.

[Ariel nuzzles into the headpets with a happy churr, then nods, poking her head up briefly as Kuja catches up; while she does chirp a greeting, she's perfectly comfortable where she is, and goes back to being snuggled up against Ken's shoulder.]

Ah - there you are. My apologies, I hope she wasn't disturbing you? [He's stopping a couple feet away from the bench and hasn't moved yet to retrieve her - it doesn't look like she's getting into trouble, but he's being polite anyway; no reason not to at the moment.]

No, she's fine. Pokemon can be a handful, sometimes. I know mine like to attach themselves to strangers, too.

[Ken smiles, though it's tired.] I've never met a Dratini before, though.

[Sometime after Koromaru, Akihiko comes and sits with him as well]

... I didn't think you were still in Goldenrod, Sanada-san.

My plans got a little derailed. [With Shinjiro leaving he didn't want to run off with Fuu so upset... then the tourney coming up... it was just easier to stay for now]

... That's happens a lot here. [Ken sighs. When have things ever gone as planned in Johto.]
