This is more information than you can BEARPersona 4 Affiliation: Trainer.
Personality: Teddie is a stud.
Well, okay, he’s not. There’s nothing about Teddie that screams out “lady killer”. Actually, his impulsive nature and immaturity might make him the farthest thing from a stud--though he seems to think otherwise. He’s a bit hard not to notice, with all the exaggerated and outrageous things he says, and he really has no problem with that. In fact, he welcomes it and instigates it quite readily. After all, no one can resist this bear!
Teddie’s introduction is a strange one. Even at first sight, it’s an obvious fact that he’s not very ordinary. After all, he’s a bear, and certainly not human. This fact is something that the majority of his problems revolve around--unsure of his own existence, Teddie’s often seen giving deep thought to things that touch upon that issue. For all his tomfoolery, he’s a character that yearns for acceptance, and it’s this very reason that causes him to take both the bear and later, human form.
At heart, Teddie’s a child. Light-hearted and hyperactive, there’s an innocence to him (even while proclaiming that he’d love to “score” with you, really), fueled by his naivety and lack of knowledge in some subjects. He’s a complete flirt, but, in truth, he really has no idea what he’s doing; as is the case with many things he does. His outgoing personality is a cause of much exasperation with his friends (looking at you yosuke mcgrumpy pants), but it’s difficult to stay mad at him. Teddie is very much an extrovert--he doesn’t have the knowledge most people do, being in the TV world for a long time, and so his emotions and experiences are what he thrives on. He’s sensitive and loyal, and provides that small injection of comedic honesty.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ He is adorable. Teddie is so adorable he can get away with so many things.
+ Teddie is, at his point in time, secure about his person. It’s not an extreme sense of security, but he is comfortable where he is.
+ He’s easy to get along with. Empathetic and all that.
+ He’s a pretty determined bear when it gets down to it. Put him on a goal and he will see it through to the end!
+ SO MANY BEAR PUNS
- Teddie flirts with girls. A lot. He fails at getting anywhere, though, and doesn’t seem to understand a lot of the things he does.
- He can offend someone without meaning to. He can say things without understanding that sometimes you just shouldn’t say them. (see: “Wow, this is awful!” when sampling his friend’s cooking.)
- He’s not the sharpest tack. Though he’s efficient instinctively, some things just escape him.
- Teddie thrives on friendship. Rejection and fear of his own identity is one of his main fears, though he’s gotten a bit better.
- zio skills. hello lightning.

Samples
(Please note that both samples must take place in Route_29’s setting.)
First Person Sample:
[ding. On your screen: shaky camera work and a zoom up view of someone’s face. Talk about amateur.]
Hellooooooooo.
Wow, I have absolutely no idea where I am! This is almost too much to bear. Well, it looks like even all the way out here I’ve got some lady-fans... I got lots of free stuff from that Mom-lady.
I’d stick around longer... But I should find the others! Sensei, if you’re out there... The bear has entered the building!
Third Person Sample: It wasn’t like Teddie serious expected to get lost. Because he didn’t. If anything, the last thing that came to mind was sleeping-and so, he assumed the obvious.
“It couldn’t be…” cue the scandalous gasp. “I-- I was sleepwalking?!”
Teddie had never sleepwalked. Ever. He was only familiar with it from a few snippets of things he’d read, watched, and so it was the first thing that had come to mind. “Maybe this is a dream,” was another of his revelations, and he pinched himself as soon as he said it. Nope, that wasn’t right either. If it was a dream, pinching would’ve worked.
“Sensei,” he yelled out unto the town, and the people around him did nothing. “Sensei! CAN YOU HEAR ME, SENSEI?!”
As expected; no response. Well, not an expected response anyway-there was a tug on his pants as soon as he finished screaming, and he met eyes with some kind of miniature bear thing. His first thought-shadows?!-but that wasn’t a problem anymore. Instead, he pulled away from the Teddiursa’s tug.
“What’s-
You’re a bear!”
The Pokémon responded with nothing but a simple: “Teddi…” , and it was that word that got the gears in Teddie’s mind moving.
“Hey! You can’t be Teddie. I’m Teddie. There’s not enough room on this world for TWO Teddies, I’ll have you know…”
Blank stare. A small silence. Teddiursa did nothing but stick it’s paw in it’s mouth. Teddie continued to stare, opened his mouth to say something, but shut it. More silence.
“… Well, fine. Today’s your beary lucky day. I now call thee… Teddie Version Two!” The feedback to such a proclamation? A tilt of the head. “All right, Teddie V. Two! Since I’ve now enlisted you as my assistant, you have to help me find Sensei! Us bears have to stick together.”
