Certainly. There is something to said for learning from personal experience, but some things are better known in advance.

That`s true. It`s better to be safe than sorry, and that extra bit of knowledge could give you the upper hand... if you use it properly.

Battling is straightforward enough against the wild ones. I would presume that more strategy is involved when battling other trainers.

It seems to be that way so far--your head against theirs. You`d need to be one step or more against your opponent.

Well I heard they also have classes on battling and such--it`s likely that you`ll find what you need there.
