[There's a Lightning on the beach, looking surprised to see that the house looks so...polished and finished for being a beach house, but there's also a nostalgic note to her smile as she looks around at the base of the steps.

At least, until Sen bolts past her from the waterline and heads up the stairs to get to Strike, anyway. Then the nostalgia fades right out and she runs after him, reaching for his ball in her thigh-pouch the entire way up.]

[ Lightning doesn't need to worry; Strike is sitting on the second floor porch railing, watching as Sen climbs but not making a move to help. She puts a claw up in a silencing gesture, before inviting him to--quietly--sit next to her. Not too far away, recovering from a long morning of prep and party planning with Minnie, Leon dozes in a hammock, one arm slipping towards the ground. He looks peaceful, and the last thing Strike wants is to disturb him. ]

[As if something just yanked all the energy right out of him, Sen skids to a halt the moment he sees Strike raise her claw. With one nod, he's slowly and quietly moving to sit at her side, looking like he just won a life's supply of his favorite berry with how happy he seems.

Lightning, on the other hand, looks at Leon with a good deal of softness in her eyes; she's never seen him this peaceful before, so she'll be just quietly making her way up the steps, careful to avoid any boards that look creaky before she leans against the railing, just watching the waves roll in for a bit while Sen enjoys his time with Strike and she waits for Leon to wake.]

[ The movement of the Lucarios does rouse him, and makes a soft noise, taking stock of his surroundings with half-lidded eyes. A year ago he would have been awake and alert in seconds. He sees Lightning's sweep of pink hair, and the corners of his lips turn up. ]

[ He pauses, scans the sky, then sheepishly: ] Afternoon. I must've been sleeping longer than I thought.
