Akihiko hatched my egg but he's not my daddy. And Gyudon keeps me warm but she's not my mommy. Is that not right?

[ Surprisingly, it's Lucky who pops up on screen, smiling her big dopey Arcanine grin. The sight is surprisingly a lot less frightening than one might imagine. ]

Oh, that's like me! My mommy is Ari but I have Boss, too. And Strike was my puppy sister but Flare is from Ari, like me.

[Daifuku squeaks in surprise, but that happy grin calms him down quickly]

Oh! Okay that's good... I see my mommy and daddy on this thing some times, but I like staying here.

[ Daifuku reminds Lucky of Raichu, and she and Raichu get along, so it's all good! ]

Nobody will take you away! Unless you want them to...?

[Says Mist the Altaria with disgust, though she does look wistful when Skarmory mentiones her mate.]

[ This attracts both Strike and Skarmory's attention, but it's Skarmory who speaks up. ]

Sounds like a winner. What kind of a mate was he?

Kayne's a Dragonite, and he's the type to use his strongest attacks on newborn Pidgeys to have something to battle. I swear, if he did not have such strong powers to pass on to the children, I would have asked Rosie to freeze him the first time he approached me.

[ Strike's nose wrinkles. ]

You chose him as your mate for his abilities, or was he imposed on you?

[Okay, so maybe Napalm is kind of jealous. Never mind Ironhide has her looking after the newly hatched pokemon -- she's totally a mom-type pokemon.]

[Still, she sounds perfectly cheerful when she gets the 'gear away from said little Growlithe.]

[Spinneret has been going through the Pokégear while her trainer is napping nearby. It's been mostly uninteresting stuff to her, until this post.]

Oh you're going to have eggs? Congratulations. But why wouldn't you be allowed to keep them?

Many trainers like to sell the eggs for money, and more still don't have the time or the inclination to keep all those pokemon. Besides, I'm not interested in keeping mine once I have them; I think it's important for them to have their own trainer and become independant, don't you?

Oh... I guess, yeah I'd want them to be independent and on their own. I would want to make sure they go to good trainers though. I think not all trainers are so good.
