No...

[totally dragging it out in the way kids do when they know they might get scoldings but they're totally gonna try and wiggle their way out of it by sounding tiny and cute.]

[ A tiny sigh. ]

I just wanted to know if you were safe, Nanako. Did you see a nurse?

[nods even though he can't see it 8(]

Yeah... Nurse Joy give me some medicine stuff and I had to cut off some of my hair 'cause it got burnt.

Your hair was burned?

[ Oh, bby girl. :C ] I'm glad you're all right, though. Hair can grow back.

I'm sorry for your loss. As soon as we get a clue as to where they might be, we'll go after them for you.

I received a cut or two, but nothing more. It seems even Pokémon attacks have trouble piercing through plate armor.

[And his complete inability to use anything other than the video function proves it.]

[ A tiny smile. Some things never change. ]

Glad to hear it. Your traveling companions and pokemon too, I hope?

Of course.

[His smile turns just sliiiightly nastier.]

My team made a few of them regret the day they turned to crime for a living.

[ A small chuckle. ]

I'm sure they deserved all of it, and then some.

[Cooper never liked texting much. So he returns the text with a call, and though he sounds tired and a little raspy, there's that old business-like tone to his voice that very much indicates that he's fine.]

Aside from a few cuts and bruises, I'm a-okay. To my knowledge no one was too badly hurt.

[ It was a voicemail! xD ]

That's what I've been hearing, but I needed to confirm it. That broadcast was pretty alarming.

It was an alarming incident. We're lucky it didn't end in tragedy.

Even knowing that people can't die here...there could have been some serious injuries. How many people were on that train? I know they were selling up to 500 seats.

i agree! i can't believe they got us all like that!

We'll have to be more cautious with them, going forward. I think we've missed our chance at taking them out completely, if we even had one in the first place.

i think the real problem is that working to blow up a train only lands ya two weeks of jailtime

It's always been like that. Two weeks is standard for anything, from stealing from the pokemart to assault. I don't think it's just jail time, either--in a lot of cases, convicts just do community service.

It's not a good system, but it's only one we've got.
