On her one shoulder is perched a Pidgey, who seems to happily be sleeping there, while on her other is a familiar looking Hoothoot. [John is laying on the bed of his hotel room, Sassacre on his head as usual. Tripp is sitting on the bed next to him, head curled under his wing, clearly fast asleep. John's trainer manual is open in front of him and from the looks of it, he's managed to make some decent headway in reading it. Until a certain broadcast on the pokégear next to the manual distracts him.]

[He just...kind of stares at the message for a minute.]

[He jumps off the bed and haphazardly pulls on his shoes and jacket as he rushes towards the door. He runs down the hallway, out of the hotel, and toward the pokemart as fast as he can, an indignant Tripp following after him and a confused Sassacre hiding in the hood of his jacket.]

ROSE!!

[Never mind that he doesn't even see her yet. He's just going to yell for her till he finds her.]

[[It's not hard to spot her, or it shouldn't be, and she certainly doesn't have a hard time spotting him. Though instead of going to him, she's fine with waiting for John to get to her. No overdramatic embraces here, sorry.]]

[Now was the perfect time for a dramatic embrace sequence. Straight from the movies! Never mind the fact that the roles were reversed here, this would be-- wait was that one of those devil-owls on her shoulder? Apply your breaks John, perhaps a more cautious approach is best.]

[There is a wired looking man stepping out of a bakery with a bag full of goodies. Bags under his eyes and bundled up in a coat with sneakers (no socks) and laces untied.

He places a finger to his lips in interest as he looks up at the lapras waiting for him.]

Strawberry-kun, we will get you strawberries now, I assure you.

[[Rose watches them a moment, before tilting her head slightly in curiosity.]]

Strawberry-kun? I am assuming you gave it such a name because it enjoys strawberries. By chance, what Pokemon is that?

[And just fishing out a chocolate bar from his bag to open it up and bite into it, setting the bag onto the lapras before turning to her.]

You are correct in assuming so. Meet Strawberry-kun, the lapras.

[A small smile and he bites into the chocolate bar again.]

I never did promise it would go smoothly. In fact, I am the one that held doubt it would work at all, considering how much of an insufferable prick he really is.

Yes, that certainly sounds like a personality I could spot in a crowd. I make no promises on leaving her behind, but I will try if you really wish me to. An extra set of Pokemon could be useful however.
