Excuse me... but what do baby Pokemon eat?

[Akihiko turns the camera and...awwww. His Pikachu has made a nest... in the middle of his bed. And is currently curled up with a freshly hatched Minun. In fact it...sounds like she's singing to it]

Gyudon won't let me near it yet, but it seems pretty healthy at least?

pokemon get!, gyudon is actually a lady

[Such a cute scene..

Anew can't help herself so she just stares for a moment a the two pokemon before speaking softly to Akihiko]

At first I also thought that babies needed a different type of food, but it seems that they can the same than an adult pokemon

At least it worked in my case, but if you feel unsure you should try with soft food, maybe berries

The same thing? Well, that's convenient at least. I just hope I can get close enough...

Anything edible. If it's anything like Rom, anyway.

Ha, well it should be like it's parent, right? Anything else I should watch out for?

Rom and Rem have always had a lot of energy. It's hard to keep up with them. I'm not sure you'll have the same problem, though.

I guess I won't know right away, I haven't really taken it outside this room yet.

It depends on the Pokémon's personality, but they generally eat berries or Pokémon food.

Mine eat everything.

That shouldn't be too hard to get. i was worried it'd need a bottle.

The Minun should be fine.

[Akihiko moves over to where Gyudon and the baby are and finally manages to get it from her, bringing it back to the camera]

I thought you and Ken might like to see it, considering.

Not milk or anything like that?

[ Machi shakes her head. ]

It's just...regular Pokémon food.

Hmm... well the fact that a rabbit came from an egg is already strange, I guess it not needing milk isn't any worse.

They pretty much eat the same thing that regular pokémon eat, though maybe not as much at first.

Should I... squish it up first?

It'd probably be a good idea, at least for the first week. Depending on how many teeth it already has, of course.

My Charmander was fine eating anything after he hatched though, so it might depend on the pokémon.

It seems to move around on it's own so far. I guess pokemon aren't really like baby animals back home.
