The La Force Legacy: Generation 5, Ch. 3
IN THE LAST RATHER SILLY EPISODE OF THE LA FORCE LEGACY:
The triplets became children. Rogue and Puck finally got married. Saria and Zelda made friends. Navi became an adult cat. Link and Navi had some bonding time. The ghosts ran amuck throughout the house, but mostly in Link’s sleeping bag. Puck became an adult. Adrienne bought Mido, a parakeet, and Rauru, an iguana. Bowser and Adrienne harassed Saria and Zelda with their dreaded cheek-pinching tactics. The kids are getting good grades for once. Onward!
This chapter begins with OH GOD A FIRE THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE HOLY SHIT SOMEBODY PUT IT OUT OH GOD.
Oh yeah. And Adrienne is stuck in the house because of the fire. FML.
I just want to say something about Navi here. While all the other members of the household are sprinting straight for the fire and generally going batshit crazy, Navi’s just sitting here like “oh, ho hum, the sky looks nice tonight, is that a bug over there oh wait just a speck of dust, la dee da~”. Navi gmh.
Eventually the fire got so big (and the firemen didn’t even bother to show up after I called, no thanks to them) that Adrienne had to put it out herself. And yeah, my hat is off because she handled that fire like a bamf. But then my game crashed because everybody was freaking the fuck out. Luckily I saved just before the fire started.
You. You smiling sonovabitch. This is your fault. Rogue made some bullshit dinner thing in the oven and left it unattended. Why would she do such a thing, you ask?
Rogue: “It’s my birthday!”
It’s her birthday. sLdfj’lSDJFl;jsdflsd RAGE.
Yes, so we’re having a birthday do-over right now. Goddamn it Rogue.
She looks basically the same, just with some wrinkles. I’ll never understand why the men in this game almost always age better then the women.
The ghosts still pretty much make themselves at home at night. Here we have Ecruteak and Shiloh bonding over some TV.
Navi seems to have taken a real liking to Shiloh. Seriously, she never sits on anybody’s lap. Just Shiloh’s.
Shiloh: “I think she understands that I’m incredibly jealous of my living relatives. We didn’t have these cute little furry things when I was young. Hell, we didn’t have them when I was old!”
Rogue wasn’t having the easiest time with getting older. She seemed to be going through a midlife crisis.
Rogue: “Puck, have I still got it?”
Puck: “What?”
Rogue: “Am I still as pretty as I was when I was young? Because it sure doesn’t feel like it lately.”
Puck: “Let me tell you something, Rogue.”
Puck: “You’re absolutely beautiful. Don’t let anyone or anything convince you otherwise. I’m lucky to be married to the prettiest woman in all of Barnacle Bay.”
Rogue: “Oh Puck, thank you. You’re the best. I love you so much.”
Puck: “I love you too, sweetheart.”
The next morning was already the triplets’ birthday. Goodness, I feel like this generation is just speeding by! Link was first, as usual.
But then Zelda decided she wanted to have her birthday at the same time. In the middle of the table.
Zelda: “I have easier access to the cake this way.”
*sparklesparkle*
That’s easy cake access alright. Also OW.
Wah-la! Link received Star Quality as his fourth trait. Is it just me, or does he remind you a bit of Generation 3’s Gateon?
Zelda got Good for her fourth trait.
Aaaand Saria.
Saria’s fourth trait is Clumsy.
Here’s Link after his makeover. dhfkjshldhf let me love you.
And Zelda post-makeover. She looks a lot like her mother.
And here we have Saria, who definitely takes after her father. It’s actually refreshing to see a kid with some more genetic variety this gen!
Link still loves Rauru, as you can see. Not sure why, but this kid is reminding me more and more of a hipster.
Link: “See this? My iguana’s red. Green iguanas are so mainstream. Fuck the mainstream.”
Here, have a little montage of Link and Rauru:
Link: “Dayum Rauru, you smell good.”
Link: “OH RAURU, YOU SO FUNNY SOMETIMES.”
Link: “Go to sleeeeep, go to sleeeeep, go to sleeep little Rauru...”
Nolan decided to return to Saria and Zelda’s room once again, this time taking advantage of their old toys. And what did Saria do upon waking up to the sight of her dead great-grandfather playing with a toy horse? Scream? Cry? Faint?
Nope, she whipped out her phone and took a couple pictures.
Saria: “Aw yeah, this is so going on Facebook.”
Link woke up the next morning in a mood swing. Ho boy.
Link: “MY LIFE SUCKS. FUCK BEING HAPPY. BEING HAPPY IS SO MAINSTREAM.”
Adrienne and Saria have been talking a lot lately, and I think they’re becoming friends.
Saria: “It’s our buns! Us bun sisters gotta stick together, you know.”
Adrienne: “I suppose you’re right, deary. Bun powers unite!”
Just a quick little sentimental shot to show that Bowser and Adrienne are still in love. ♥
A rare moment: three La Force family members sitting at the same table at the same time.
Zelda: “How’s your sushi, mom?”
Rogue: “Great, thanks for asking sweetheart.”
Link: “Fuck globes. They’re so mainstream. I mean everybody has them, so why even bother? Ugh. Geography homework sucks.”
Zelda: “Dude. You’re a genius. You’ll be done with it in a matter of minutes.”
Link: “Whatever. It still sucks.”
Link was late for school the next morning, so Rogue decided to scold him.
Rogue: “I can’t believe you haven’t left yet, young man! So irresponsible. This isn’t like you at all, last year you were on the honor roll!”
Link: “Whoa whoa whoa mom, just hear me out. None of the cool kids go to school on time anymore. Being on time is so mainstream. You gotta show up at least ten minutes late.”
Rogue: “I don’t care about what the ‘cool kids’ think, you better march your late hiney to school! You better hope I don’t see you leaving late for school again, mister!”
Rogue then followed Zelda all the fucking way to school because I guess she was running late as well.
Rogue: “I can’t believe it! Two late kids in one day! This is not how your father and I raised you, missy.”
Zelda: “Mom, you’re losing it. The bus was the late one, not me! I made it to school, did you really have to drive all the way here to scold me?”
Rogue: “Yes I did! I don’t think you understand the seriousness of tardiness, young lady! I expect you to clean up around the house when you get home, are we clear?”
Zelda: “Crystal. Now can you pleeeeaaase let me go inside? I’m gonna wet myself here.”
Two scowling teens dressed in formal attire? Looks like prom to me!
Saria: “I can’t believe I’m stuck going to prom with my loser brother.”
Link: “I can’t believe I’m stuck going to prom with my unhip sister.”
Zelda: “I can’t believe I’m stuck listening to the both of you whine all night.”
So off to prom they went. Saria found it hard not to stare at this girl.
Saria: “You’re so... interesting-looking.”
This Girl: “Um... thanks?”
I will now regale you with the happenings of prom night:
Link:
• started dating an unfortunate-looking girl named Gwen Martinez
• asked an attractive sim to dance and almost cried upon being rejected
• was voted prom king, as you can see here
Zelda:
• started dating a boy named Austin Rao and the pair of them were voted “cutest couple” at the dance
• asked out the most popular boy in school (after she started dating Austin, mind you) which made him laugh, and made Zelda mortified
• had an awesome prom pic (as you can see here)
Saria:
• started dating a boy named Jarvon Jarrell (who has a fabulous name in my opinion)
• asked her crush to dance (also after going steady with Jarvon, unless he is her crush) who didn’t acknowledge her existence
• tore up the dance floor
T’was an eventful prom, apparently.
And then for some reason after prom, Saria and Adrienne weren’t so buddy-buddy anymore.
Saria: “LOOK old lady, you are REALLY starting to piss me off.”
Adrienne: “B-but all I asked was if you had a good time at the dance!”
Saria: “I had an alright time, thanks for asking. Listen, you better watch yourself grandma. My hand just might slip and you’ll wake up without that lovely bun of yours.”
Adrienne: “..Oh my dear lord.”
This girl named Shonna came home with the triplets, and it turns out she’s actually their aunt somehow, even though she’s the same age as them. I think she’s related to Thor and his mom Fern.
She hung out with Link for most of the afternoon.
Link: “And so I said, ‘Mrs. A, chalkboards are so overused in the teaching business. Be innovative. Try dry erase boards.’ And that’s when I got detention. So worth it.”
Shonna: “You are so very strange.”
Shonna: “But I feel ya. I tried telling her that desks were so ten years ago, and she sent me to the principal’s office.”
Link: “Whoa dude, hardcore. My aunt is the coolest.”
Meanwhile, upstairs in Link’s bedroom...
Saria: “Dayum Rauru, Link wasn’t kidding, you do smell good!”
I then took the kids’ free Saturday as an opportunity to invite over their romantic interests. Jarvon is Saria’s, the one standing an inch away from her face, and that other dude is Austin, who is Zelda’s. I don’t know where the hell Gwen is in this picture.
This is Jarvon. He’s cute, but a little bland-looking. We’ll see how this goes.
Back outside, Link had finally found Gwen.
Link: “Look, Gwen, you seem like a nice girl, but this isn’t an uglacy. If it were, you’d be my first choice! That’s a compliment! I’m sure you understand.”
Gwen: “Understand?! You asked me to dance at prom! You said I was your one and only! You said I was special!”
Link: “I’m sorry! I said those things because I felt sorry for you! I know, it’s a terrible thing to do, but you seemed lonely. And I wanted to help you. And one of my buddies dared me. But that’s beside the point! Now that you’ve dated me, one of the most popular guys in school, you’ll have guys all over you just from my sheer coolness! Isn’t that great?”
Gwen: “No. You suck, Link La Force. I never want to see you again.”
Link: “Well that makes the two of us so-”
Gwen: “GOODBYE.”
And with that, she stormed off. We never saw her again. Well, so far. It hasn’t even been a sim day since I last played.
Zelda had been hearing rumors about another girl that Austin had been dating on the side, so she confronted him about it.
Zelda: “Austin, I know about you and that other girl. You hooked up with her after you asked me out at prom, and I don’t want any part in that. So we’re over. Done. Kindly get the hell off my property before I get my brother to escort you.”
Austin: “What the fuck?! You’re a psycho bitch, Zelda. Where the hell is your proof?”
Zelda: “I saw you two with my own eyes! Link, I could use some help over here!”
Link: “Alright, I’m gonna come over there, and when I do, I better not see a dick named Austin still talking to my sister. If I do, that dick’ll pay the consequences!”
Austin: “Alright alright, I’m leaving! This whole family is fucking nuts, I swear...”
And with that, he too stormed off. The La Force kids seem to have that effect on people this gen.
Saria and Jarvon seemed to be having much better luck inside.
Link: “Look at us, two pathetic losers without dates. Even Saria’s got somebody, and she’s weirder than the two of us put together. Forever alone, eh sis?”
Zelda: “You got that right, bro. Hey, at least we’re forever alone together.”
Link: “Yup, just two miserable siblings: One unbelievably attractive, and the other... redheaded.”
Zelda: “Ouch! You’re going to pay for that one, ya goob.”
I’ll bring the chapter to a close here. I’m thinking there might be an heir poll after the next chapter, woo! Next time:
