always leaving you behind
Gah, Being Human tonight was just too much.
Annie. Oh, Annie. It was all you in this episode. I mean, yea Mitchell wanted to leave the vampires behind (for a shot at love) and got blown up... but I know he does not die.
And George, still lying to himself about SO many things, is called out by a little girl (Did Molly rock or what?)... but the preview showed that the wolf cannot be contained. Not ever.
But Annie, they are just leaving you behind and expecting you to like it, to be happy for them as they take off and have lives - while you sit there, alone.
It pissed me off.
So, your storyline really got to me in this episode.
And I don't know why I just noticed this tonight, but Annie tries so hard to be 'human' - to encourage others and to help others, to find humor in things, to talk and have a routine... It is all she has.
She cannot be seen or heard, except by the dead or Mitchell & George (well, that's it for now at any rate...). Being able to touch a life is all she has - just a glimmer, nothing more substantial.
And Leonora does such a good job with this. Just nails it to the wall.
So, she has the opportunity to 'talk' to her mother and free her mother from sadness/guilt.
Now I get to see just how death comes for Annie again - with a door, possibly... but with the Old Man, surely.
Got to learn more about him as well. And I can see why he'd want to rid the planet of the supernatural. Everyone is just one big mess on this show...lol.

Finally watched most of Hard Candy. Good god, Ellen Page kind of owns my heart now.
Wickedly intense film.
Also got to see some of one of my all-time favorite films in this world, Lawrence Of Arabia. Got to marvel at Lean's epic cinematography and the prettiness of Peter O'Toole's eyes and the over-whelming amounts of gay love.
Damn school exercise is just not working out well for me. I've got some kind of block going on, 'coz I am hyper-creative... normally. But I am letting some inconsequential paragraph trip me up. MEH.
I'll hope for better as Sunday officially comes to light.
