I think it's really refreshing Gaga's voice isn't superb and angelic. I like the raspiness of it (normally confined to harder rock) set to dance music.

But I have to agree it's a weak argument to say it's hard to sing and dance at the same time. Dozens of musical-actors do it EVERY day professionally and hundreds? more in local productions.

You know what- this is why we're Jourtney! I really like Pink too, but it's kind of a guilty pleasure. And I love how Lady Gaga seems to exist merely to dress in insane concept dresses that Bjork would cringe at, and sing pop-tacular things.

Btw, have you heard Cartman's rendition of Poker Face (from the SP episode Whale Wars)? It makes me intensely happy. And laugh. Lots.

You've got her all wrong. She's a spectacle for sure, but not in the "this is how we do it in the country" baby in her lap drunk driving ala Brittany. That drama/trainwreck is real. Gaga isn't, and she's doing it on purpose ( ... )

I just love Lady Gaga for being so completely bizarre. Having not researched anything about her (outside of clicking on the links you just posted- and she does a fantastic performance at that talent show) I don't know what judgment to pass on her, I'm just extremely amused by her. And, honestly, if I were a ridiculous pop star I would want to wear the most insane outfits I could lay my hands on. I'd go to the Grammys dressed as a dragon... RAR!
