Today we saw The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. To say much about what I thought of it, I need to sort of pick it up and put it in a little bubble, a vacuum wherein you can talk about it on a technical level separate from its role as art in a larger context ( Read more... )

We saw the show in London last year and I was similarly blown away. I think the issues regarding its portrayal of autism are very real and very worth discussion. One of the things I like about the script is that I think it could also be done on a very simple set, someday, when the rights are available. We'd have to think about how we would address the issues that you are addressing here, but I do think it's possible to do that.

Yeah, Mindy and I talked about that after the show, and agree that it could actually be put on quite effectively, say, in a relatively sparse black box setting.
