I did not enjoy the entire Amanda Palmer CD. In fact I was disappointed with how slow every song was - but one. Runs in the family is an awesome song (like favorite song!) - but the rest was like her just telling a sloooow ass freakin' story in her low voice.

I love the eff out of her.
But.
That album needed more - just more lol.

I didn't mind the slowness I think she does it really well not to mention the song guitar hero featured East Bay Ray of the Dead Kennedys.

In all fairness after listening to Send More Paramedics and Vivisick everything seems slow to me.

I got Coraline and American Gods last weekend.
I just started reading Coraline this afternoon.
You thought it was good?
I was disappointed with Stardust but I'm giving Gaiman two more chances to win me over.

Yeah Coraline was pretty good I kinda liked Stardust too for what it was Coraline was actually aimed at kids unlike stardust which felt like it should have been but his most important work I think so far was on his Sandman series him and Alan Moore redefined the kind of storytelling that could be achieved in comics.

I'm gonna start reading American Gods pretty soon I hear it's really good I also got a sweet short story he wrote involving lovecraftian monsters and sherlock holmes I could send you if you're so interested.

I thought Stardust had so much potential but he didn't elaborate enough. I wanted him to go into more details so bad because he implied so many interesting things.

I'll let you know what I think of Coraline when I'm done.
I hope the movie will be good unlike the Stardust movie...

Sure you could send it, I'll read it when I get a chance.
