[Here have another banshee scream blasted at you.]

[Then the video function switches on and you get a nice display of a madly grinnig Stitch]

Is one of these [He gestures at the Misdreavus floating above his shoulder] Can't get rid of. Will follow you around!

[Sorry, but after that second scream, Edward's... a little on-edge, and it shows.]
So it's as I thought... a Pokemon. But I have not seen it in her yet... [perhaps it's related to that darker-then-normal patch on the wall behind you, Edward?] ...I don't want to hurt it.

They baaaad Pokémon. Will hurt you if you do bad things to them. Should switch room. [Shriek the Misdreavus lets out an ominous Dreee~ for effect.]

If I switched rooms... I do not want it to disturb the next person who stays here.

[OW OW OW.

After his ears stop ringing...]

It's probably not a spirit...are you sure it's not a pokémon bothering you?

...It might be, but I haven't heard a Pokemon like that in Route 29 or Cherrygrove before.

Me neither. But that doesn't mean there isn't one.

...I suppose you're right. This world works in mysterious ways.

[And have a third screech -- only this one was more to interrupt her trainer than anything else.]

-- Garnet, I told you, warn me next time. I'll play with you in a bit.

...

Yeah -- from what I can tell, that's a Misdreavus. They're not that bad; Garnet only really screams when she wants attention.

But I'm sure there might be a few of'em that are annoying.

[What Soul doesn't know is his is kind of the exception... :|a]

A Misdreavus... so I can just catch it like any other Pokemon?

[video] soulcool February 23 2011, 02:50:49 UTC
Yup. It's just like any old Pokemon.

'Scept they can get pretty strong. Though I think it's just a ghost thing.

But can't any Pokemon be strong, as long as you train it with care?

Ouch! That hurt! Mm...Maybe if you talked to the spirit and made her less sad then she wouldn't be sad and scared anymore?

I hadn't thought of that...
[And Edwards' looking around for it, setting the 'gear down. But still recording.]
Miss Spirit?

[Here, have another scream! More of a joking scream, though, and the Misdreavus popping out of nowhere.]

EEK! [She covers her ears then points] Oh. It's a Misdreavus! My friend Sawako has one of those!

[Edward turns to see it -- and it just laughs at him.]
Misdreavus... why were you doing that?
[...No answer.]

[Ah, ghosts and their pranks.]

If you have a Pokémon that can attack Ghost-types, keep them alert. If you do not, use a repel. That was no spirit.

[video] usespoonybard February 23 2011, 02:50:29 UTC
Some attacks can't hit Ghost-types?

[video] puppet_paladin February 23 2011, 03:13:17 UTC
Normal-type and Fighting-type attacks. Everything else will at least harm them a little.

...Ah, then I could use Minuet to hurt it. She's learned moves of different types.
