002: Secular Mythmaking and Doctor Who

I've long held that television shows, novels, movies--all of our cultish texts--function in an increasingly secularized society in much the same way the shared mythologies of religion have cemented cultures before us. Rather than relating through our religious texts, even religious peoples now often relate to others through shared taste in music,

The entirety of the 10th Doctor. I don't even remember anymore because it made me so mad and annoyed me so much that I dismissed it all as crap and I don't really intend to watch it again.
