I wonder why they put you on antibiotics for mono? It's a viral infection, they won't do anything. If it's a penicillin/amoxicillin-based antibiotic, it will actually make the mono worse. I know this because my case of mono was misdiagnosed as strep throat.

When they found out that it was actually mono, they gave me a course of steroids and a cortizone shot and said I should be much better within the week, and there wasn't much I could do but wait it out.

I hope you feel better though! It took me a few weeks to feel back up to snuff, but my mono wasn't very bad. I didn't eat much besides applesauce and chicken soup for two weeks though.

And don't go around kissing boys, they have germs :P

Oh, well, they thought before my results got back that I might have cat scratch fever, so the anti-biotic was for that. And my lymph nodes were super swollen, so the anti-biotic is actually helping.

The doctor said that she probably thought that I had strep throat with it as well. I think I might've gotten strep from Garrett (he had it around the time I got sick and had been over) and then it just got worse.

I feel much better than what I was two weeks ago, it was pretty bad two weeks ago, though I shouldn't've been going to work and stuff either. I'm eating better too :) Thanks. Hope everything is going well with with you.
