Thank you my dear! It was a wonderful day, I did nothing at all (which is awesome) until 6:30pm when my parents came up and took me out for a lovely dinner and drinks. I then sat down and did my mom's x-mas mailing labels on my computer (she's still learning how to do this so I just offered to do it for her). On Monday my dad is bringing lunch to the architect's office where I work (his home-smoked pork loin and homemade sauce with baked beans, I am making a salad). It should be great fun.
Tomorrow, I work on my last client's QuickBooks stuff until January, so all in all it was both a relaxing and productive weekend. Huzzah!
I got all my holiday shopping done, spent Saturday gift wrapping, be making one last run to the dollar store today in search of those little box-thingies -- my chocolate truffles turned out so good, I'm actually making bunches and giving 'em to folks for the holidaze, but I need some cute, 99-cent gift boxes to slap 'em into. ;-> Got the house straightened up and semi-cleaned for the early visitors. Then we ate pizza and watched Netflicks. Yup, productive and relaxing -- definitely the best kind! :D
Your BD is close to Christmas and mine's close to Thanksgiving -- sometimes it lands on Thanksgiving. I've had punkin pie with birthday candles a few times! When you're a kid, it probably seems like a rip, but I'm thinking as an adult, maybe it's like a little sea of "just me" slapped in among a bunch of planning and running around -- kind of neat. I'm glad you had a good You Day, and wish you many more to come. :->
Oooh, homemade truffles? That sounds delicious! I bet they are DAMN good. I actually live on the same block as a Dollar Store, so we are constantly shopping there. It is actually a pretty decent place to buy anything but produce (boxed goods, cleaning products, misc. various and sundries!). In fact, I think Aaron walks up there just about every day to every other day for something. So handy
