This is just kids not thinking, which is something kids are prone to do... I remember when I was in elementary school and middle school, kids would hyperventilate into a paper bag and then hug themselves and bend over, which would cause you to faint. Just something wierd to do, and I'm not surprised it still goes on. Depends on the age level of kids, of course, but I don't think most of them have any real concept of consequences or danger.
