The brute squad, and Travis, lead the team down corridor after corridor. For once, Diziara actually kept quiet as they walked, and Spiegel was keenly looking around. Noelle seemed more concerned with paying attention to their captors, likely because she was familiar with the version of the station from the team's home universe, and wouldn't need to pay as much attention to be able to back track or find her way around. They eventually ended up in one of the levels of the engineering section of the central core.
"Nick, have you seen the Chief?" Travis asked a body tucked under a console. When he rolled out, Diziara's eyes narrowed at the familiar face, and Travis had to yank her back when she growled.
"What's her problem?"
Nickolaus Michaels asked, peering at her. "I dig the hair cut," he addressed her. "Use some of whatever it is he's spiking his hair with," he nodded towards Spiegel, "and you could have a rocking pair of devil horns with those bangs." She tried to lunge forward, and Travis yanked her back, hard.
"Quit poking the wild animal, would you?" Travis demanded. Nick looked confused. "Where's Maddie?" Travis asked again, with a sigh.
"She grabbed half a dozen grunts, and headed towards the main computer core. I think she was muttering something about retrofitting the station defense subroutines," Nick finally answered. Travis rolled his eyes, and started off. "What's with the brute squad?"
"Hazardous materials transport for what hopefully will buy me out of the doghouse Luke was kind enough to drag me into, along side his stupid ass," Travis tossed over his shoulder as he lead the group on. "Speaking of the jackass, he might be laid up in the infirmary for a while, so we won't have to do as much damage control 'til he's back."
"Hey, wait a minute... he looks like Luke, and she looks like the chief. Where'd you find crossovers?" Nick demanded, causing Travis to pause in the door out to the corridor and halt the rest of the group.
"Just lucky, I guess," he said, and started forward again before Nick could say anything else. He led the group through the corridor, into a turbolift, and eventually into the room that housed the main computer core. As explained by Nick, there were half a dozen people working at various access panels and consoles, and Travis looked around the room impatiently when they entered. The rest of the group fell in behind him as a couple of the engineers in the room noticed.
"What do you want, Trav?" a petite woman demanded, a hand on her hip. Diziara bared her teeth, and the woman cocked her head to the side.
"What's it to you, Jess?" Travis was cold in responding to this woman, and didn't make any effort to reign Diziara in like he had when she'd reacted to Nick. "Where's Maddie?"
"She's busy," Jessica started to explain, then she gasped. "They look like Mads and Luke. Crossovers?"
"Crossovers? For me?" a familiar voice emerged from behind a console, and the team looked to find Noelle's double having emerged into view.
