This is the best Christmas EVER!!!! (And it's not even Christmas Day yet!)

Happy Christmas, everyone!  I hope it is wonderful for you as it is for me!

Today, I received in the mail (first class, I might add) the paperwork for me to begin employment at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel in Yellowstone National Park!!!  I sent in my application a few weeks ago but I didn't expect anything to happen!  And then I got this is in the mail...and I couldn't be happier!

Working at Yellowstone National Park is a dream come true for me!  I love Yellowstone and the opportunity to work there is a great one!  I will meet many new people from across the country and the globe there and I will work in the most prestigious hotel in the park (and the most expensive, I'll mention)!  The pay isn't a lot but it's the experience that counts because once I can put this on a resume, getting a job will be easier here in Cache Valley.  Though, if I enjoy working there, I'll definitely be signing on for another season, no questions asked!

I'll be working from 5 May to 2 August in 2009 during the summer season up there.  And just in time for my road trip from 27 August - 4 September!

The funniest thing about this is that I have never had a job before and so I didn't have anything to put on my application and they hired me anyway!  My room and board is paid for along with my meals and a few other things.  I'll be taking Bootstrap and Felix with me (my Ford Explorer and my laptop) and I'll have wireless internet access in my dorm so I can keep in touch with everyone!  I am really looking forward to this experience and I can't wait for it.  It'll be my first time living away from home but it promises to be a great experience.  The job is actually a gift from above, I know it.

Below are a few pics of where I'll be working:

Here's a nice frontal view of the hotel with it's famous sunroom off to the left:

I've been to the Lake Yellowstone Hotel before back in 2003 when the choir I was , the Cache Children's Choir, the top level Cantate choir went on tour to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole.  We sang here in the sun room (I think) and I remember after, we were on the tour bus and I was finishing up in the bathroom and one of my guy friends in the choir opened the door on me.  Luckily, my skirt was up, lol.

Yellowstone is one of my most favorite places and being able to work there will be a memorable experience!

Regards,
Sadie-Anne
