So start thinking of your life as a video game, then pay yourself to give it great reviews.
No but seriously. If you honestly can't look back at a period of time and find enough good to make it worth doing again, you're probably already focusing on the bad too intensely. And if you think you're really being biased, ask around. Chances are you won't find too many people who agree that it was as bad as you think it was.
