Okay, so I watch this show on occasion and I really like it. It's cool how people come together to provide a desperate family a new home. I always end up crying at some point. I watched that show once, and while that idea behind the home renovating was well intended, I was wondered how some of the people on the show pay for the bills in their new homes. The one show I watched they built a huge McMansion with cathedral ceilings and like 3 bathrooms for this poor family. Imagine this how much more this bills are going to be on the new house. Heating, water and property taxes are now going to be a lot more. How does that help a poor family. Maybe I missed something in the show, but it seemed a little weird.

It's funny that you mention that, because I have always wondered about that too. Usually, the show takes care of the mortgage attached to the new house and the old house, so that's one GIANT bill that the family is no longer left with.

I know that since this family last night owned all the land outright (over 100 acres for the whole farm)so there was no mortgage involved. So, they gave the family a fund of $50,000 for house-hold bills, repairs, etc.

So, I think in this case, it's alls well that ends well, but like you stated, I'm not sure about others.

I went to the website to learn more about this woman's farm and program and was quite impressed with all the fundraising she does.

Yeah, that's the crying show. It is very happy. I used to watch it from time to time.

It's good you're thinking about getting on the horses again, but you have to do things in your own time.
