Italian people have Columbus Day. Jewish people have a lot of holidays, both religious and cultural. African Americans have all of February and also Kwanzaa. There's a lot of holidays for different nationalities, just Irish deserve a lot more than some others. I mean they came to this country and were regarded as less than slaves and fought to survive. Hell in their own country they suffer from struggles with their mother country, terrorism, and stupid shit like that.
You watch the parade today? Haha we should've went to the one in Trenton, yesterday, that would've been interesting.
Maybe so, but those are all different. Columbus day isn't about italian heritage. It's more like President's day. Columbus just happened to be italian, but then again most people probably think he's spanish. It's celebrating what he did, not the fact that he was italian. Judism is different too because it's a religion as well as a culture. I think Kwanzaa is a bullshit made up holiday. And Black History month is for all black people, not just those from a specific country. It would be like if there was a European History month. There's no equivalent holiday for any other nationality. Yeah, Irish people have had it tough. So have a lot of people though. I don't know...who cares. I didn't see the parade but I wish I did. We should have gone. Love you, Christy
