Nanny State? No thanks!

Personally I could use one of those valves, but I'd have to have one on every tap in the house, since the thermostat doesn't work on my hot water system and so the water comes out practically boiling. (Yes, I am going to get it fixed next time I trap a plumber.) But yeah, nanny state = Bad Thing.

Did you see in the weekend paper that a PCT in Scotland has published a leaflet on how to have a shit? Just for those who never worked it out...
(apparently one of their tips is that you must always shit with your mouth open BTW)

[hot water]

I suppose the thing that annoys me is that the parliament is turning out to be so uneven an institution... some great ideas, but some real lemons (including the building itself!)

[crap advice]

Mouth open? The mind boggles, frankly.
