you're two today. you've had a year of living with just one lung, and it hasn;t slowed you down too much. put up with the young ones nursing, and coped with nonnys' death. you are an amazing feline. i look forward to what future excitment you will bring to my life. because i don;t doubt that you will do so ( Read more... )

Happy birthday furball. I hope that double trouble gave you a bit of a rest or that you were able to jump out and surprise them. btw did you do that cute trick of chasing your mom's eyelashes this morning to get her up to give you a special treat?

purr.... i have repeatedly 'gotten' them today *evil cat grin* unfortunately they continue to survive :(

left mom alone this morning as she hasn;t been lying down on the big thing much. have repeatedly asked her to open either door so i can play elsewhere. but she must be deaf. she refuses to listen. i am waiting to retaliate somehow. i am patient. i am feline :)

the hanging food was proper treats mixed with kitten food, and wet stuff appeared at bedtime. i suppose that i will have to be happy with that. pinkie is pretty decent for a two legs.

Aw! Happy birthday to the little trooper! She's two already? She still looks like a kitten.

thank you *preens* i do try to retain my girlish figure by chasing the small ones about and maintaining discipline (kids these days you know). that was even a recent photo. i had to bug pinkie to get something that looked better than the ones of me recovering (sheesh- i would rather not have those ones ever brought out, i only have half a coat in them).

i recommend getting in a proper quota of cat naps in a day. and make sure your food is the good stuff, i gather some scurilous cheapies have made it hard to get quality food these days.

A happy, happy birthday to Treacle! May you live to be long in tooth, and gray in fur. ;)

thank you of bestest of friend of furry folk. such wishes from you are good indeed. i will also aspire to keep life interesting for pinkie two legs. she needs more excitment in her life. too much running around and not enough proper naps. pity i have to teach her, and that she doesn;t listen well. such are the trials of my life though

Hi Utsi,

Treacle is a VERY pretty kitty (and she sounds SMART and TOUGH too). I hope she got a wonderful birthday celebration full of treats and toys and love !

she did :) thank you for the good wishes.

she is the smartest of my trio. and she's a survivor, so the tough is true (i am assuming you haven't read about her trials of her first year yet-ask at FITP). if you think she is pretty, wait until you see her majesty... that's the vain one of the bunch ;)

Did you write about The Trials of Treacle in past entries of your journal ? I only started reading at the most recent entry I originally found.

I especially have a soft spot for pretty-kitties with unique (or unusual) colouring patterns. What colour is your vain little royal ?

We have a vain kitty too -- she's the "omega cat" of the household because the other two are stronger-and-smarter. Her name is Duchess (short for "Her Grace, Duchess Underfoot" and she loves to be in photos -- http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=14280&id=904045180

treacle's travials are liekly buried with some rather traumatic family crap at teh time. she went in for her spay, came out with pneumonia, which progressed into pyothorax. which then necessitated her right lung being removed along with her pericardium. she is a real survivor.

her maj (priss) and her brother are tuxedos. he's more a proper mix of black and white. in a pattern that made me call him motley (both for being foolish looking and mottled). she's more white than black. balck spots that appear like hair pieces on her head, along with a black goatee. she's _very_ symmetrical in her markings. bulk of her is white fluff though. bunny soft fine fur, which looks short/medium- but is actually long (and profuse in it's shedding :P )

i think she and your duchess might have ancestors in common ;)
