Deep.
I had a teacher in HS who was fabulous - he liberally sprinkled Shakespeare and Brit Lit classes with logic, rhetoric, latin and classics. Mr. Plourde was truly a gem of a teacher and I wish I'd been able to have more classes with him. He used to quote (forgive my poor Latin):
"quid quid recipitur recipitur in modo recipientis", which he definied as "that which is received is received in the manner of the receiving one", aka, the recipient shapes what they receive.
