I've never done a marmalade but I wonder if maybe the baking soda is why you don't have to cook and drain the peel so many times.

It sounds wonderful! What's the difference between Meyer lemons and the regular ones?

meyer lemons aren't supposed to be quite so tart i gather. i've also heard that they are a cross between a lemon & an orange. another source refers to them as a more authentic variety of lemon. i'll have to look into it some more :)

i got the tree because i was curious about the fruit. not likely the right reason to buy a tree instead of the fruit, but...
