Why must everything be animated?

I often wonder if it annoys other people the way it annoys me, but it simply has gotten out of control. I'm talking about how ever since the art of cgi or computer animation has entered the world of commercial advertising, everytime you watch an ad on TV you see all kinds of inanimate objects come to life. At first it was pretty cool and creative,

I agree...sometimes I really don't like cgi animation, especially mixed in with live action...case in point: STAR WARS. The original movies were on these past few weekends and oh how I miss the days of scale models, creative special effects and elaborate makeup/costumes.
