Oh, I do so love that rant. i wish he had gone into the whole "they ran out of days at the end of the year so they tacked on the last six." thing. I love it. Oh, and don't forget the origins of the sparkly lights and glittery tinsel- Martin luther thought they were so pretty he hacked the shit down to put it in a church! (doh! the ice melted!) God, I can't wait for Valentine's day- A bunch of horny wolves silhouetted by little kids handing out and eating tiny chalky nasty graphic representations of swollen canine labia spouting "Be Mine" and "I'm Yours." maybe they should bring back the jumping through the fire routine and make it a blazing inferno 20ft tall... yeah, that would be fun to watch

You live on Prytania? I used to live on Coliseum, in between St. Andrew and Josephine. Hence, Moonlight and Half Moon both of which rock, but I don't know anyone who goes there any more. Art house scene? *ears perk up* interesting people go to those things? Tell me more . . .
PS: I apologize if this response is late but LJ doesn't send me notification of comments, for which I curse it and plan on exacting slow painful revenge. So Hi!! *waves hello* wannabe friends?

Yes, I've been back since Jan! And correction I haven't seen you since before I left for South America which was waaaaay before the hurricane!! And I don't have your # you dingbat. I lost my old cell phone in Peru. So yes, there's probably some Peruvian brat running around with my no longer working cellphone. On a side note: Yay!! You're alive!! I heard rumors, but I'm not the most social person at the best of times.
theatre/casting call/etc.exeyelMarch 21 2006, 17:19:45 UTC
hey, don't see any public posts for a while, hoping you're still active on here. I'm a writer/graphic designer/geek and whatever else you can gather from my interests. Most recently though I have been working on two plays I am writing and a performance art/circus (not your typical type of circus, trust me, or even sideshow) to put on some shows around New Orleans. I put a casting call/ask for help on my friends list but no one bit, so did a search for new orleans and theatre and found your profile. Was hoping you might be interested or know some people who would. If so we can talk over it some in email and maybe meet for some coffee somewhere. Definitly not going to be traditional or non-controversial, so hope this is not a problem. Saw similair interests though with throbbing gristle and a few other things so thinking this shouldn't be a problem. Hope to hear back, Exile

I've never been to the half moon,
but I've always been fond of the saint.
Unfortunately though....
this is another place where I dont really know anyone who goes there.
I need some compadres in New Orleans to go out with to the arthouse scene, especially since I'm moving to Prytania....
